Sunk, Naval Battle of Guadal Canal 13 November 1942

THE FIVE SULLIVAN BROTHERS DEATHS ABOARD THE U.S.S. JUNEAU ON NOVEMBER 13, 1942 OFF THE SMALL ISLAND OF SAVO DURING THE NAVAL BATTLE FOR GUADALCANAL, WAS A FAMILY TRAGEDY SO GREAT IT AWAKENED THE NATION TO THE SACRIFICE THAT LAY AHEAD FOR ALL FAMILIES.

HENRI NEIL REICHELT, WHO HAD BEEN CAPTAIN OF THE HACKENSACK HIGH SCHOOL SOCCER TEAM IN HIS SENIOR YEAR 1937, WENT DOWN WITH THE LIGHT CRUISER U.S.S. JUNEAU ON THAT FATEFUL DAY.

LET US NEVER FORGET THE SAILORS SACRIFICE.
